Wild at Heart Rescue is dedicated to providing a safe haven for sick, injured, or orphaned wildlife native to Mississippi. We work tirelessly to rescue, rehabilitate, and release animals back into their natural habitats whenever possible while offering lifelong care for those that cannot survive in the wild. Every animal’s journey is a testament to the compassion, dedication, and community support that drives our mission forward.
At Wild at Heart Rescue, we believe that awareness sparks change. Through community outreach, educational resources, and engaging programs, we share the stories of Mississippi’s wildlife and the challenges they face. Our goal is to inspire people of all ages to take part in protecting and preserving the animals and habitats that make our state so unique.
Every rescue begins with a helping hand — and yours can be one of them. By donating, volunteering, or spreading the word, you’re directly supporting the rescue, rehabilitation, and release of Mississippi’s native wildlife. Together, we can give sick, injured, and orphaned animals a second chance at life in the wild, where they truly belong.

International Day of Charity Light the Way
This is Your Chance to Be a Hero!
The path from rescue to release is dark and uncertain for thousands of injured and orphaned wild animals.
But you can change that.
This International Day of Charity, we’re launching our most critical mission yet: to raise $25,000 to Light the Way for every creature that comes through our doors.
From emergency vet care to specialized formula, your light guides them from crisis to care, from fear to freedom.
We can't do it without you. The wild is counting on us.
Even $5 can provide a warm meal. $50 can fuel a rescue vehicle. $100 can provide critical medications.
Let's hit our $25k goal!
